How do I get to the inpatient rehab facility in Las Vegas?
Desert Hope Treatment Center is conveniently located less than 15 minutes away from Harry Reid International Airport. Our admissions navigators can help coordinate your trip and other travel details for you. In some cases, we may be able to provide transportation to and from our Las Vegas facility for inpatient alcohol and drug rehab or outpatient services.
Does inpatient rehab treat co-occurring disorders as well as addiction?
The inpatient program at Desert Hope is equipped to treat substance use disorder and other co-occurring disorders simultaneously. Comprehensive treatment for addiction and other conditions is crucial since these disorders may exacerbate each other. Co-occurring disorders that people with addiction often face include: Anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
What types of addiction do you treat at Desert Hope?
Desert Hope Treatment Center can help you recover from addiction to drugs or alcohol. This includes treatment for addiction to the following substances and more: Alcohol, Prescription Opioids, Heroin, Cocaine, Methamphetamine and Benzodiazepines.
Do you accept pregnant women?
We generally accept pregnant women who are medically stable into our addiction treatment programs; however, it is up to the discretion of facility staff.
How do I get admitted to rehab for drugs or alcohol?
Often, the first step in getting admitted to treatment is checking whether your insurance covers treatment at Desert Hope. You can do this by filling out the confidential online form or by calling an admissions navigator. Our admissions navigators are standing by 24/7 to guide you through the admissions process and answer any questions about treatment at Desert Hope If you lack insurance, or your insurer does not cover treatment at Desert Hope, there are other payment options that make rehab costs more manageable, like financing.
Do you accept couples and friends?
Yes, couples and friends are welcome at Desert Hope.
Is this a Christian rehab program?
No. Our treatment does include the 12-Step approach which incorporates the concept of a "higher power" but this is not a Christian treatment program.

How long are inpatient rehab programs at Desert Hope?
The ideal duration of addiction treatment (short-term rehab, month-long treatment, or long-term rehab) varies between individuals. Following inpatient treatment, patients may transfer into outpatient rehab, stay in a sober-living facility, or join a peer-support program to maintain focus on their recovery.
Can I use my cell phone/computer at Desert Hope?
We allow cell phone and electronics use at our facility; however, please be advised that some restrictions apply in certain levels of care and at certain times. View our policy.
Can I maintain contact with my employer while in treatment?
Desert Hope offers various levels of care, some of which require more time than others. View our programs.
Is this a co-ed rehab program?
Yes; however, men and women reside in separate locations. Additionally, men and women are separated once weekly for trauma-informed treatment sessions. Groups, meals, and activities are all co-ed.
Is smoking allowed at your drug and alcohol rehab center?
Yes, all of our rehab facilities have designated smoking areas where patients may smoke when not engaged in treatment programming. Please be aware you will need to bring your own cigarettes in an unopened pack or carton or purchase them at the on-campus store. Your family and friends can also send you cigarettes but they must be factory-sealed packs or cartons. Please double-check the rules when you talk to our staff or during check-in.
Do you offer rehab translation services or programs in languages other than English?
We do offer translation services on as-needed basis. Some of our facilities are more likely to have a translator readily available. We are willing to work with anyone that is trying to get help with their addiction. In addition to spoken languages, we also offer ASL translation selectively. Please make sure to detail the need for a translator when speaking with us.
What happens if there is an emergency?
At Desert Hope, safety is our top priority and we work to ensure the safety of all patients and staff. In the case of a natural disaster impacting the safety of our patients and staff at the facility, we will relocate or release all impacted patients to a safe location near you. During emergencies, such as hurricanes, wildfires or other natural disasters, we may stop admission to our facility. In the case of a medical emergency, we follow directions given by the patient at time of admission. We contact the primary contact for the patient if one has been provided. If no emergency contact has been provided, we follow directions given by the patient at time of admission. If you are trying to reach a loved one due to an emergency at home, you can call us directly at 702-789-6201 or you can call your loved one's cell if they currently have access to their phone.
Is treatment at Desert Hope voluntary and can I leave anytime I want?
Yes, all addiction treatment at our facility is 100% voluntary. We do not force patients to attend or to stay. We do provide counseling services for those that want to leave early or against medical advice (AMA). If you feel you or your loved one is a danger to themselves, please get help immediately. You can call your local emergency services or get help from outside resources such as the National Suicide Hotline at 1-800-273-8255 or the National Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration at 1-800-662-4357.
What types of outpatient treatment do you offer?
Desert Hope offers three different levels of outpatient treatment. The most intensive level, partial hospitalization. The next level down is our intensive outpatient program (IOP). The least intensive level is standard outpatient therapy. Desert Hope staff can work with you to determine the appropriate level of outpatient care for you.
Do people attend outpatient treatment after completing inpatient rehab?
While everyone's path to recovery is different, it is common for people to step down to a less intensive level of care after completing an inpatient program. Because Desert Hope offers a full spectrum of care from detox to residential rehab all way to outpatient and sober living, you can access all the care you need in one place.
Does Desert Hope’s Las Vegas rehab facility have a sober living option?
Yes, Desert Hope offers sober living available to patients participating in an outpatient program.
Do you help with aftercare planning?
Yes! Desert Hope treatment staff will work with you from day one to help you craft a realistic plan for what to do you when you leave treatment. This may involve another form of care, entry into a sober living facility, attendance at mutual help group meetings, etc. Your aftercare plan will be adjusted as needed to help ensure you have the right plan to prevent relapse.
