Addiction Treatment Options at Desert Hope
Desert Hope Offers a Full Continuum of Rehab Care
At Desert Hope, we offer a continuum of care spanning from medical detox all the way to outpatient services. You or your loved one may transition to lower or higher levels of care when appropriate.
When you or your loved one first arrives at Desert Hope, our staff will perform a comprehensive medical and psychological evaluation to determine the appropriate level of care.
Desert Hope will consider any person for admission regardless of race, religion, gender identity or expression, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, or referral source. Our treatment center only admits individuals 18 years old or older.
During the intake process, we will determine the appropriate level of care by assessing things like:
- Severity of drug and/or alcohol use disorder(s).
- Risk of significantly severe or complicated withdrawal.
- Co-occurring mental or physical health problems.
- Psychosocial history.
Our medical detox allows you to more safely detox from drugs and alcohol in a quiet environment while receiving 24/7 supervision and care as needed. Medical detox in Vegas usually lasts between 5 and 7 days, during which our physicians and nurses will strive to alleviate your withdrawal symptoms.
The necessity of medical detox depends on several factors, including the substance(s) that were used (e.g., alcohol, opioids, etc.), the anticipated severity of withdrawal symptoms, and the presence of any significant medical and/or mental health issues.
When you detox from drugs and/or alcohol at Desert Hope, you can rest assured that you’ll be cared for by compassionate medical professionals and kept safe.
If you arrive at Desert Hope with an acute or unstable medical condition that requires a higher level of medical supervision, you may be assigned to our inpatient, or intensive, rehab program if it can safely meet your needs.
Inpatient rehab provides you with 24/7 medical supervision and care as needed to keep you safe and work toward medical stabilization.
We will develop a customized treatment plan for you that includes individual and group therapy sessions and therapeutic activities. If you are diagnosed with a co-occurring disorder such as depression or PTSD, you will receive integrated therapy that addresses both your substance use disorder and mental health disorder.
Residential Addiction Treatment
Residential treatment, or live-in rehab, is ideal for those who benefit from living at our treatment facility with staff accessible 24/7, but who do not have a medical condition that requires around-the-clock monitoring and care. Our residential treatment program allows you to live in a drug-free environment where you can actively participate in individual and group therapy sessions.
Desert Hope offers the following forms of outpatient rehab:
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Sometimes called “day treatment,” our partial hospitalization program takes place Monday–Friday with about 30 hours of treatment per week. This highly structured outpatient program includes individual and group therapy and a wide range of therapeutic activities.
Each morning, participants spend 90 minutes in a process group with an assigned therapist and peers. PHP also allows patients to engage and connect with other individuals striving to stay in recovery through mutual support groups and sober activities.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Patients who join our intensive outpatient program receive treatment at least 3 days per week for a minimum of 3 hours per day. Our IOP is structured similarly to our PHP but is less intensive and focuses more on helping participants integrate back into their daily lives.
As needed, patients may meet individually with medical providers and counselors. They also work on finalizing aftercare plans and learning how to embrace a new, healthier, and sober lifestyle in recovery.

During your time at Desert Hope, you will work with your treatment team to make a plan for the next steps after your current program ends.
We want you to keep your momentum and stay focused on your recovery, and we do everything we can to help you do so.
Sober Living in Las Vegas, NV
Patients who may need a little extra support in their recovery can transition to a nearby sober living facility if they want to stay engaged in treatment and aren’t ready to return home. Resolutions Las Vegas is open to participants in our outpatient programs. Residents receive transportation to and from Desert Hope Outpatient Center for treatment.
Sober living may be highly beneficial for those at high risk of relapse and who need a supportive social network to help them stay on track.
