Vicki J. Mortensen, LPN, is a dedicated and experienced nurse at Desert Hope Treatment Center in Las Vegas. She has worked in the field of addiction recovery for over a decade, most of which has been spent with us at Desert Hope.
In 1995, she earned her credentials as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Over the course of her career, she has accrued diverse experiences in urgent care, nursing homes, home health, and addiction recovery, amassing a wealth of knowledge in healthcare delivery across various settings.
In 2013, Vicki obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Collaborative Health and Human Services with a concentration in Public Health from Cal State Monterey Bay. This educational milestone reflects her dedication to a holistic approach to healthcare, combining collaborative skills with a focus on community well-being.
Vicki’s commitment to community health is further underscored by her internship at the Monterey Health Department, where she specialized in Smoking Cessation and Perinatal services and developed and taught community health classes.
What sets Vicki apart is not just her extensive experience and academic achievements but her genuine enthusiasm for her work. She continues to be inspired by her coworkers and finds joy in the opportunity to make a small but meaningful impact in someone’s life.
