Theresa Moody is a dedicated and compassionate social service professional with over 33 years of experience supporting individuals with complex behavioral health, mental health, and addiction challenges.

Currently serving as a Case Manager at Desert Hope Treatment Center in Las Vegas, Theresa works closely with individuals in recovery from substance use disorders. She plays a critical role in discharge planning, aftercare assessments, and connecting clients with essential resources to ensure a safe and sustainable transition back into the community.

Throughout her career, Theresa has worked in various settings, including locked psychiatric units, correctional facilities, schools, assisted living, and outpatient community programs. She has supported diverse populations, including those with serious mental illness (SMI), co-occurring eating disorders, dementia, developmental disabilities, and youth charged as adults in correctional settings.

A key focus of Theresa’s work has been empowering clients to set and achieve individualized treatment goals through strengths-based and client-centered approaches. She has extensive experience providing direct coaching, skill-building, and behavioral interventions that help clients navigate crises, manage triggers, and build self-advocacy skills.

She excels at collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, families, and community providers to coordinate care and ensure all supports are aligned with client goals and safety needs.

Theresa’s training includes an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice and certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). She is highly skilled in crisis intervention, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral strategies, and trauma-informed care.
