Achmed Henry, MA, LADC, is a Counselor II with Desert Hope and has been with the organization since 2017. Prior to joining our treatment team, he served the recovery and behavioral health communities in various capacities and settings including outpatient programs (including IOP), residential facilities, juvenile probation, and justice court. He has over 20 years of experience.

Achmed is part of our IOP treatment team and leads individual counseling sessions with our patients. In addition to counseling, he also facilitates psycho-educational group sessions to help patients build coping skills that will support them outside of treatment. When not serving the recovery community, Achmed volunteers his time to the American Red Cross and Salvation Army.
