Achmed C. Henry, MA, LADC, CADC IV, is a highly experienced substance abuse counselor and mental health professional with more than 30 years of expertise in addiction recovery and behavioral health.

Currently working as a PHP/IOP Therapist at Desert Hope Treatment Center in Las Vegas, Achmed leads psychoeducational groups, performs biopsychosocial assessments, and provides personalized counseling based on evidence-based practices.

His clinical skills extend across a wide range of populations, including adolescents, adults, those in Methadone treatment, and justice-involved individuals.

He holds a Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling: Addictions and Recovery, along with certifications as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) in Nevada and a CADC IV in California. Achmed is proficient in using the ASI, DSM, and ASAM criteria for comprehensive assessment and treatment planning.

Achmed’s diverse career includes significant roles at Landmark Recovery, Vegas Behavioral Counseling, Eagle Quest Counseling, and Glass House Counseling, where he has facilitated groups, led relapse prevention programs, provided anger management education, and engaged in case management and court liaison activities.

He has also held educational and administrative positions, including Certified DUI Instructor and contract Mental Health Technician at Nellis AFB.
